PRESENT – TUES/June 30: The Kennedy Museum of Art’s education gallery features many of the materials used in Zuni jewelry and carving, as well as videotaped demonstrations of various techniques. The gallery also offers interactive components that help bring the artists and their art to the visitor. Through June 30.
PRESENT – Ongoing: Selections from the Permanent Collections. This exhibition juxtaposes pieces from Kennedy Museum of Art’s permanent collections including weavings, prints, paintings, ceramics and African art. Kennedy Museum of Art, OU.
PRESENT – SUN/April 5: Prints from the Print Club of Cleveland. The prints, donated by R. Budd and Janet Kelsey Werner, retrace 30 years of the Print Club of Cleveland’s history of collecting a wide range of contemporary prints for the Cleveland Museum of Art. Kennedy Museum of Art, OU.
PRESENT – Fall, 2009: “The First American West: Frontier and Freedom in Athens County.” This hands-on exhibit examines the extraordinary journey of the early settlers to southeast Ohio. Athens County Historical Society & Museum, North Court Street, Athens.
PRESENT – Fall, 2009: “Material Memories: The Souvenirs of Athens County Veterans.” Exhibit examines the objects Athens County veterans brought home from war and their thoughts on the topic as collected through an oral history discussion.
