Letter: Youth Fishing Derby succeeded as a result of many parties

Athens County Bassmasters would like to congratulate Justice McCune, Cody Hudnall, Cory Hill, Abby Holley and Derrick Welsh. They were all winners Saturday, July 12, at our annual Youth Fishing Derby. Cory Hill was awarded a bicycle for the biggest catch of the event.
We attribute the successful event to the following: Athens County Children Services, Athens Soil and Water Conservation District, Hocking Valley Ice, McDonald’s of Athens, Dairy Queen of Albany, Lake Snowden, Larry Smith, AFSCME Local 1252 O’Bleness Athens, Riverside Bait and Tackle, Relay for life, Mama Renie’s, AFSCME 3751 HVCRC, UMW Local 1340 Trimble/New Lexington, AFSCME local 2852 Nelsonville Fire and City Workers, and VFW Nelsonville Post 3467.
