Letter: Back in the day, old Baker Center suited both students, non-students
May 12, 2008
To the Editor:
Wow, too bad about Baker Center! When did the revenue decline begin? Or projected sales not meet expectations?
I remember Baker Center being a thriving communications link to the university and community. High-school young men and women loved it. Why on earth were the community non-students ostracized?
We didn’t have a lot of money in the ’60s and ’70s, either students or non-students. The center thrived. Thank you for taking the time out and reading.
